During the COVID-19 self-isolation, FALPS’ Board Members and volunteers have been out on the trails ensuring that fallen trees are removed from the trails, erecting bog bridges and doing other maintenance to make the trails enjoyable for all visitors to American Legion and Peoples State Forests.
We’d love to invite you to volunteer sometime–simply go to the tab on our Home Page and send us an e-mail or a message on the FALPS’ FB page. We’d also like you to post some images on our FALPS’ FB page as you enjoy our forests.
If no projects are currently listed, contact us at ctfalps@gmail.com or on our Facebook page and tell us what you’re interested in.

My daughter is home with us during this covid time. She and her boyfriend we’re riding in the park and “discovered” the boardwalk. She took us there to see today. Must have been 7:30 pm. Weather perfect, felt like the most peaceful place on earth. You guys did a great job. The ability to project out into that swamp is a treasure. Congratulations.

Hi Greg, thanks so much for your comments and so glad you enjoyed the Boardwalk. We encourage you to visit it during all seasons! We are having a Beaver Marsh walk this Saturday–a 2.5-mile loop that will include a visit to the Boardwalk. We’d love to have you join us. We’re meeting at Beaver Brook P:icnic Area in Peoples State Forest at 9 a.m., Saturday, August 15th. Hope to see you there!
